An amazing book by an amazing photographer!

World famous fashion photographer Tim Walker has enchanted the readers of Vogue and other high-end fashion magazines for over a decade. His photographs are the epitome of beauty and imagination. Tim is able to re-create the happy and nonsensical nature of just about everything it is to be childlike and free in his images. For example his series A Private World, featured in Italian Vogue in 2008, evokes a feeling of being trapped inside a fairy tale and never wanting to leave. If you haven't picked up an issue of Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, or Vanity Fair lately to see his work, you no longer have to. Tim Walker has gathered each and every captivating spread and compiled them into one large scrapbook of his life works, entitled "Pictures." The book features some of Tim's process constructing images and designing sets. The book really allows you to live inside Tim's mind for a little while and experience his whimsical and magical creations as he makes them. There is also a lengthy biography in the beginning of the book that adds to the understanding of his photographs. Tim leads you on a journey in "Pictures" each photograph grabbing at every sense and bending the very edges of your imagination. This book isn't just for the fashionistas of today and yesterday, but has a little something that every person young or old can enjoy for a very long time.

Tim Walker's "Pictures" takes you behind the eyes of one of fashion photography's best and brightest stars. If you want to know what goes into the wild sets and stunning spreads that have been dazzling Vogue readers for a decade, this book is a must have. It's not just the sketches and scrapbook pages that offer insights, but the thoughtful accompanying text and the gorgeous prints. This book has changed the way I approach Tim Walker's images, as well as my own.

and i finally got this book and i ve read it 3 times now and i m gonna read once again cos i just cant get enough...
